Packet pick-up is scheduled for Thursday, February 28 and Friday, March 1 from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Academy: 2404 Southwest Fwy, Houston, TX 77098. Packets are also available to be picked up the morning of the race from 6:00 - 7:30 a.m.
Yes. Please have your proxy come to one of our packet up locations to pick up your packet.
If you would like to picking up race packets for your team of runners/walkers please complete the Group Packet Pick-Up Form by noon the day before you plan to pick up your race packets. Yes, but lines will be very long, and there is not a bag drop area.We strongly encourage you to pick up your packet before Race Day.
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to mail participant shirts.
- Prior to March 2, 2019, you may pay with check (offline only) or Visa, American Express, Discover, MasterCard.
- However, once the packet pickup process begins on March 2 (i.e. both packet pick up days and Race Day morning) we will only accept cash, or any of the credit/debit cards listed above.
Our Race Against Violence registration fee has an estimated fair market value of $15.
Free parking is available at America Tower Garage Extension next to the AIG Building. Please view
Directions from I-10: Access Garage by traveling south on Shepherd and turning left onto W. Dallas
Directions from 59: Take Shepherd exit and travel north to W. Dallas Turn right on W. Dallas
Volunteers will be available to direct you to the parking garage on W. Dallas and Waugh. HPD will close the surrounding streets of the race at 7:00 a.m. and Allen Parkway will close approximately one hour before the race.
Parking is not allowed in the Whole Foods Market parking lot. Violators could be towed.
General Race Day Questions
Yes, there is Race Day registration at the Registration Tent at the Race Festival Grounds in the AIG Parking Lot starting at 6:00 a.m. and closing at 7:30 a.m. Registration for timed runners will close at 7:00 a.m. and for untimed runners/walkers registration will close at 7:30 a.m.

All registrations are final and refunds will not be issued. If you register for the Race Against Violence and are unable to participate, or if the event is cancelled, we will consider your registration fee a donation to the Houston Area Women’s Center to benefit those affected by domestic and sexual violence.
The starting line is on the corner of Waugh Dr. and D'Amico
The race begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Race results will be displayed at the finish line, announced at the Post-Race Family Festival, and posted online at www.houstonrav.org

The race is on, rain or shine! However, should there be a safety risk for participants or volunteers, an announcement will be posted on the RAV website.
Unfortunately, our insurance policy prohibits dogs or pets from being present at, or participating in, the Race.
No rollerblading, scooters, hoverboards or bicycles are allowed in the Race Against Violence unless specifically and formally enlisted by HAWC for promotional and/or entertainment purposes.
Yes. However, we request that strollers line up behind the walkers without strollers.
Bib and Timing Chip Information
No, we will provide chips to all of our Basic Timed participants. All participants must have their bib pinned to the front of their shirt or shorts.
Kids Fun Run
All children ages 11 and under participating in the Kids Fun Run will receive a finisher's medal.
Fundraising and Donations
Yes, Top Fundraisers who raise $500+ have access to special benefits on Race Day. Benefits include: VIP Parking located next to the start line (a pass will be provided), VIP Tent access with special breakfast goodies, and a Top Fund-Runner commemorative cap.

If you would like to create your own team, or join a team at a later date, simply register for the race. You will be set up with a Fundraising Center where you can manage all of your fundraising efforts including teams. More info here - Your Fundraising Center.
